Love these shoes, PE ruins everything, Why the pivot to AI?
I bought another pair of wool runners for my son because he tried mine and loved the cozy, light feel. They haven't held up to the rigors of an 11-year-old on the playground. The interior pilled-up quite a bit and the shoelaces were quickly shredded. The shoes are lovely feeling and having a merino wool sneaker is such a treat. But selling the company and pivoting to AI is everything that's wrong with late capitalism. I'm not sure I'll ever buy them again.

Great look, but quality has changed
This is my second pair of these shoes. The first I got a couple years ago and they have held up to almost everyday wear and multiple washes. While the look is the same, I find myself disappointed with the change in quality. Most noticeable is the tongue of the shoe now has a single layer with a fold over hem instead of a double layer tongue. That part feels thinner and more cheaply made, and the seam rubs against the top of my foot. Mostly it irritates the forefoot under the laces and at the top of the tongue where it meets the ankle. The laces are also shorter and stiffer than before.
Hopeful that as I wear them, the shoes will soften. I do still like this style because it accommodates my wider foot and doesnβt put much pressure on a small bunion.

"Running" forever on Runners
I have had several pairs of these all black Wool Runners over quite a number of years, and even the oldest pair are still fine to wear. Although, at 80 years old, there's not too much actual Running involved, these shoes have carried me several times around the world, and walked many, many miles in all sorts of terrain. They've remained comfortable, and look good, can be worn out in the evening as well as on trails through the woods and on cobblestones in town, and (a bonus) the laces stay reliably tied without being double-knotted. And a spin through the washing machine can happily restore their pristine aroma and appearance after lengthy damp or muddy walking. One of my best ever shoe purchases.

Wool Runners
Warm, comfortable and smart. My fifth pair of allbirds and if thatβs not a recommendation. My podiatrist initially recommended them for me and Iβm sold and have since been recommending them to others and even bought some for my friends.

Hazy Burgundy wool runners
Mainly good.
Love the coloured sole. So much better than white soles.
Already have "pilling" on the inner wool heal area. I will pull off the small pill balls by hand as I did with my last wool runners.

Best shoes EVER!!!
I think I love, love, love my Allbirds. I now have five pairs. Is that too many? Nope, I love each pair for different reasons. My rheumatologist, Dr. Myerson, told me about Allbirds and he said he wears them all day every day for great fit and comfort. I bought one pair and knew they wouldnβt be my last.
