The Easy Pant | Beech

The Easy Pant is comfortable from hip to hem, thanks to its lightweight cotton twill fabric, breathable silhouette, and pull-on waistband. Because putting on pants shouldn’t be hard.

Unpredictable Quality & Comfort

I first bought a few pairs of the Easy Pant two or three years ago and wore them on rotation to work almost every day. After gaining a little weight (plus the normal wear that would be expected from 2-3 years of consistent use & washes), I decided to size up and get two new pair in October 2024. While they fit perfectly and looked great when I initially wore them, I was disappointed after the first wash: the fabric in the waistband shrank and caused the elastic to double over for several inches in the front. It's a small thing, but it's enough to keep me from buying them again. Either the elastic is too thick or the fabric surrounding it is sewn too tight. I washed and dried them on delicate and low as I always had, and I never had this problem with the original pairs purchased. The folded elastic makes the waistband tighter and less comfortable on your stomach, and the pants aren't as clean looking if you like to wear your shirt tucked in. I will gladly wear what I have, but won't be buying these again until it has been confirmed that the waistband is no longer an issue.

chafed my thighs :(

As far as fit goes, this is a great pant that looks flattering and is cut comfortably. The cotton twill fabric is a little interesting, and I could see it wrinkling easily, but not a deal-breaker. The major detractor is that the raw edges of the seams on the inside of the thighs chafed after a day walking around town. (A fair amount of walking, but not anything I'd consider athletic by any means. ) For as much as these pants cost, I think there can be some finishing touches like sewed-down seams. Or maybe this is a 'softer fabric required' issue. Regardless, ridiculous that I'm going to have to wear slip shorts with pants.
